Travis Taylor .Brisbane, Australia
After 11 years of guitar based band work, multi-instrumentalist JEKKS has now taken sitar under his wing. Starting out with the violin and branching out to cello, double bass, bass guitar, guitar, keyboards, drums, percussion, circuit bending and audio visual manipulation.
JEKKS will be releasing two EP's in 2010 The Universal Dotajionics EP and Hem Netjer Of Immrama EP Featuring The Priests of Heka.
"I guess the main point of this project is experimentation, I'm really into experimental noise music and I'm currently study hindustani music and i love 60 and 70's rock. There is a secret to playing the two EPs together but I'll never tell... I guess you'll all have to look out for the clues and only when you figure it out will you understand what my True vision for JEKKS is, in saying that though, I could release a doom metal album next, I'm just like that..."
Join JEKKS for a journey to the galactic core with The Universal Dotajionics, find inner peace with Hem Netjer Of Immrama or have a transcendental experience listening to the two fused together by seeing him live.
